Daryl Williams, T – Unrestricted Free Agent
Offensive tackle Daryl Williams was probably due for a significant pay day coming off his rookie contract but an injury plagued season may have reduced the price tag just a bit. If so, the Panthers may grant him the opportunity to increase his value with a short-term deal that would be good for both parties.
Williams, a former fourth-round pick, developed into an All Pro caliber player earning second-team honors for his performance during the 2017 season. His first full year as the starter, Williams was a star on the rise before suffering a knee injury during training camp last year.
A healthy return to form would benefit Carolina and help to solidify an offensive line that struggled to protect Newton last season.
