Breshad Perriman, WR

A former first-round pick (No. 26 overall), Breshad Perriman unfortunately fits the mold of Panthers receivers in the past. A high draft pick that never developed into the type of player many believed they would be coming out of college.

However, he’s spent time with two different organizations, Baltimore and Cleveland, where in the latter he began to display signs of a resurgence. Over the final four weeks of the season, Perriman caught eight passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns. By comparison, in Funchess’ final four games he had just three catches for 33 yards and one score.

Perriman turns 26 this September and combined with a relatively young receiving corps in Carolina could provide another dangerous option for quarterback Cam Newton on the outside.
