While there are some health concerns surrounding quarterback Cam Newton, it doesn’t appear the team will be moving on from their franchise quarterback anytime soon. Expectations are Newton returns fully healthy for training camp, although how the Panthers proceed this offseason concerning the quarterback position, will reveal their true level of concern.

If no big name, potential one-year replacements are signed then expect the Panthers to potentially add a long-term project via the draft. One intriguing candidate hails from the same university as Newton, Auburn’s Jarrett Stidham.

Stidham endured a roller coaster of performances during his time on the plains but could flourish under the right circumstances. He’s been projected as a late round pick, but depending on his performance this week could change some opinions.

If he remains on the board late, the Panthers could make a move in an attempt to finally locate a quarterback to groom for the future.
