Damarkus Lodge, WR

6-foot-2, 194 pounds

Mississippi receiver Damarkus Lodge is a down the field threat Carolina needs. While his projections continue to be on the third day of the draft, if available, the Panthers could make a move with a late round pick to land Lodge.

There are undoubtedly bigger issues on the roster but once the draft arrives, many of the other situations should already have answers. If Hurney addresses some needs via free agency and during the first few rounds, an opening for Lodge may exist.

At his best when extending the field, watch how Lodge performs on the short and intermediate routes, in addition to his hand usage. A solid performance may not be cause for a dramatic increase in his stock potential but it could peak interest enough to warrant a decision.
