Nick Bosa is arguably the best prospect in the entire draft but injury concerns or team need could cause him to fall from being the No. 1 overall pick. Depending on how he tests at the combine, the Panthers could find out if trading up would be warranted.

Making the move would require complete confidence in Bosa not only being able to help immediately but make an impact. Hurney has a long history of nailing first-round picks with names like Peppers, Jordan Gross, Thomas Davis, Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly among others and Bosa has the potential fit into this list.

Able to be featured in both 4-3 and 3-4 defensive fronts, Bosa would check a lot of boxes for Carolina and if other teams are wary of his injury history or fear his signing may become an issue, then he may fall. It won’t be to pick No. 16 but if the Panthers can avoid having to move into the top-5 for Bosa then a deal could become more likely.
