Carolina Panthers post NFL Combine draft projections for all seven picks.

Armed with six selections in the NFL Draft next month, Carolina Panthers general manager Marty Hurney has a full slate of needs to fill. How the free agent market shakes out over the next few weeks will help to solidify some targets for the draft but right now the door is wide open at a variety of positions.

Due to retirement and players not being re-signed or released, Carolina has starting vacancies along both lines up front, linebacker and safety. For years the Panthers have talked about providing quarterback Cam Newton with offensive weapons and protection, the former seems to be coming together while the latter remains a major concern.

After being injured himself and forced to miss the final two games of last season, Carolina used three different quarterbacks to finish the year. Not because of performance issues but instead two suffered injuries of their own forcing them to miss time.

Allowing tackle Daryl Williams to leave via free agency and the retirement of center Ryan Kalil leaves big holes in front of Newton – and we haven’t even discussed the left tackle position. Again, the moves made during free agency will have an obvious impact but for right now, expect a firm focus on the future up front in late April.

Following is a projection of the Panthers NFL Draft after combine evaluations.
