After two offensive lineman selections the focus shifts to the defense, specifically targeting an edge rusher. Fortunately, the depth at this position provides plenty of opportunities for Hurney and the Panthers to patiently wait as they bolster the offensive line first.

Jordan Brailford was originally projected as a potential mid to late round selection but his NFL Combine results served to increase his draft potential. Squarely in the top third of all prospects, the former Cowboys pass rusher may land in Carolina.

A quality third-round selection, Brailford has a high ceiling and could flourish with a young corps of pass rushers currently on the roster. Alongside Mario Addison, Marquis Haynes, Bryan Cox Jr. and others, the pressure applied to opposing quarterbacks should increase next season.
