Perhaps the deepest position group in the entire draft, the Panthers have already shown interest in Banogu, but his stock is rising. An impressive display of athleticism at the combine could cause Carolina to swap priorities and take Banogu a round earlier, for fear he may not remain on the board in the fifth.

A shift to more 3-4 fronts has been hinted at this offseason which would indicate an emphasis on edge type players as opposed to tackles. By adding an earlier threat to contend, the Panthers could solidify having a formidable group to choose from during training camp and the preseason.

Projected as a late round prospect in need of adding to his pass-rush repertoire, combine results have pushed Banogu into mid-round consideration. The Panthers get a value pick here in the fifth.
