The Carolina Panthers could have new facilities very soon.

New digs may be coming for the Carolina Panthers in short order. According to multiple media reports, Panthers owner David Tepper and South Carolina governor Henry McMaster have agreed to move forward on the former’s plan to build new facilities. This is certainly a great step towards uniting the Carolinas.

The new facility would be a sports medicine center which would be a part of a team training complex. Located in South Carolina, this would undoubtedly do wonders for the team. For one thing, the team would have somewhere central that they can call home. This way, the fans will be able to get involved more and the team can have something that they can be proud of. I’m not suggesting they weren’t proud of the facilities before, but now they have something even better that they can call their own.

The idea of a sports medicine center is excellent as well. Something that would probably be located near a practice field, this would allow Carolina Panthers players to be able to get the treatment they need without having to move too far. According to a tweet from Jordan Rodrigue of the Charlotte Observer, this is similar to how the Pittsburgh Steelers have their facilities laid out. That would certainly make sense, as Tepper has stated before that he wants to build this team like the Pittsburgh Steelers. Let’s just say he wants to build it like the Steelers of years ago, and not the current iteration of the team.

This is something that Tepper has wanted to get done for years now, and it seems like the wheels are being set in motion. This will only help the Carolina Panthers moving forward and I can’t wait to see what else could be in that complex. There is an old saying that goes “If you look good, you will play good”, and this is certainly a step in that direction. The Carolina Panthers are certainly hungry for a better season than they had in 2018.

It will be interesting to see what else is in this facility. If it is anything like Tepper has envisioned this to be, it will certainly be one of the top facilities in the National Football League. That’s great news.  having great facilities sets fora winth ning culture and one that the players and team want to build around. Perhaps even better, it makes prospective free agents want to come here. At the end of the day, this vision by Tepper could be a win-win for everybody moving forward.
