Jonah Williams is being projected as a first-round pick and depending on the needs of those above them, could be on the board when Carolina is on the clock. If so, the Panthers would have a hard time passing on a potential franchise left tackle, especially after having to release Matt Kalil earlier in the offseason.

Drafting Williams, after re-signing Daryl Williams would create some serious competition between the two and Taylor Moton, who performed well last season. However, after watching injuries decimate those responsible for protecting quarterback Cam Newton last season, having serviceable depth available would be a positive.

If Hurney is set on Williams the team may trade up to ensure they get him but if not, then there still should be plenty of players capable of making an impact available to choose from.
