Yes, the Panthers just signed former Denver Broncos center Matt Paradis in an effort to replace Ryan Kalil but versatility is key up front. Adding Ross Pierschbacher to compete with Tyler Larsen for the backup center role, in addition to being able to play guard would be beneficial.

Hurney has committed to revamping both the offensive and defensive lines this offseason and Pierschbacher fits this role well. He should also be in play after the first round, making for a quality selection if Carolina targets another position of need early.

Free agent acquisitions will continue to shape the draft focus and while gaining another interior lineman would be welcome, necessity doesn’t rank it as a priority and Pierschbacher is likely to be off the board when or if one is selected.
