Greg Olsen, TE – Round 3* (Pick No. 73)

Greg Olsen wasn’t a draft pick of Marty Hurney’s but he did make the trade for him. Prior to the 2011 season, Hurney issued the Panthers third-round pick for the following season to Chicago in exchange for Olsen.

In arguably the greatest trade in franchise history, Olsen flourished with quarterback Cam Newton, putting together three consecutive 1,000 yard receiving seasons. A two-time All Pro with three Pro Bowl appearances, Olsen continues to produce in Carolina.

Using the draft in order to get Olsen may be the best use of a third round selection Hurney has ever executed.
