DeShaun Foster, RB – Round 2 (Pick No. 34)

A 33-yard scoring run from DeShaun Foster pulled Carolina within reach of their first ever Super Bowl title against the New England Patriots. Unfortunately, Carolina couldn’t complete the comeback but Foster enjoyed five seasons of productivity out of the Panthers backfield before moving on to San Francisco.

Foster averaged nearly four yards per carry over his career, scoring 10 touchdowns. He also contributed through the air with nearly 1,000 yards receiving during his time in the Queen City.

In one of his best games, a 2005 playoff win over the New York Giants, Foster rushed for 151 yards on 27 carries – setting franchise records for each in the process. Unfortunately, a broken ankle in the next game ended his season early but he rebounded with two more years of consistent production for the Panthers.
