Josh Norman, CB – Round 5 (Pick No. 143)

Josh Norman hasn’t enjoyed quite the same amount of success after leaving the Panthers but he remains a productive player in the league. For Carolina, Norman burst onto the scene during an impressive 2015 season where he earned a Pro Bowl nomination and first-team All Pro selection.

Following, then general manager Dave Gettleman rescinded the franchise tag placed on Norman, essentially letting him walk away for nothing in return. Days later he signed with the Washington Redskins for five years and $75 million, making him the highest paid player at his position.

A South Carolina native, Norman ended up being a late round gem for Hurney, who wasn’t around to see his development after being fired when the team started 1-5 in 2012.
