CHARLOTTE, NC – DECEMBER 22: Captain Munnerlyn /

Captain Munnerlyn, CB – Round 7 (Pick No. 216)

Selected in the final round of the NFL Draft, Captain Munnerlyn set out on a mission to prove himself throughout his career. A smaller corner, Munnerlyn flourished in the role of nickel back with the Panthers and enjoyed five productive seasons before leaving to join the Minnesota Vikings.

Like Hurney, Munnerlyn would receive a second opportunity in Carolina, returning for the last two seasons. Displeased with his playing time, Munnerlyn never matched the level of success from his first stint with the team.

Released earlier this offseason, Hurney will be tabbed with finding another potential late round surprise who can make the active roster this year.
