Four matchups and five Carolina Panthers games worth looking forward to next season.

The NFL does a nice job of making football a year around event, even without the games. During the offseason – free agency, the combine, NFL Draft, OTAs and minicamp all keep fans entertained until training camp and the preseason arrive but sprinkled in are also announcements of international games, preseason opponents and the full slate of games for the Carolina Panthers and 31 other teams.

To celebrate the NFL’s 100th season, a kickoff game between the rival Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears awaits on Thursday night. The Panthers are also celebrating a milestone in 2019 as they take the field for year 25 after beginning play during the 1995 season.

Coach Ron Rivera enters his ninth season at the helm and with quarterback Cam Newton. After finishing last season with a lone win over the entire second half, both should be poised for a return to the playoffs this year. Carolina hasn’t posted back-to-back losing seasons since their first two years together (2011-2012) and have followed up each such season with double-digit wins since.

Continue to see the four opponents and five games that stand out on the schedule.
