Here are the three biggest takeaways from the Carolina Panthers’ draft.

The Carolina Panthers had a very intriguing draft that allowed them to select a ton of players with tremendous talent. Heading into this draft, they certainly had many needs. They appeared to check most of the boxes as they focused on both the offensive and defensive side of the football. I’ll admit, heading into this draft I was a little nervous about how the Panthers would handle things. However, I have to give credit to general manager Marty Hurney. He had a great draft.

The Carolina Panthers are certainly better off now than they were heading into the draft. They got younger at several positions and added depth at others. It was a draft that saw them patch up holes and strengthen areas that need it. Overall, I would say it was a successful three days and they should have a lot to work with heading into training camp in the fall. The biggest issue as I see it is that they did not address a need at safety. Other than that, this class appears to be pretty solid.

Without further ado, I give my three takeaways from this draft. There certainly were a lot of things to focus on, and it was hard to pick only three.
