Overview:

Under their ultra-progressive new owner, David Tepper, the Panthers continue to make moves to adapt to the modern NFL. Tepper has done what he can to mold the exterior of the organization, making the franchise more fan friendly while also making strides to connect the city of Charlotte to its football team. Among his best innovative thinking processes, Tepper has stressed the importance of new-age analytics in the Panthers front office, something that most of the “smart” teams have veered towards over the past few years.

Thankfully, there seems to be a trickle down effect. The corresponding roster tweaks since the change in ownership prove that Marty Hurney has adopted the Tepper way of thinking. The  Carolina Panthers were stubborn and complacent under previous owner Jerry Richardson, and it showed from top to bottom in an organization regularly  grappling for relevance.

This all sounds nice and dandy, but the real development needs to come on the field this season.  A new age of Panthers football is on the horizon. New faces of the franchise are primed to replace the old, and new play styles will be implemented to keep up with the juggernaut development of the passing game across the league. One philosophy in the NFL is constant, and ironically it is based around the mantra “Adapt or Die”,

If Cam Newton is able to return and remain healthy in the 2019-2020 season, it’s playoffs or die for this front office and coaching staff.
