Conclusion

The question the Panthers need to pose to themselves and answer fairly quickly, is whether they are comfortable and confident enough to tie themselves up with Bradberry considering other impending free-agents-to-be on the horizon.

In 2020, key players who are set to become unrestricted free agents include: defensive end Mario Addison, linebacker Shaq Thompson and tackle Daryl Williams.

Bradberry’s been steady in Carolina, but not worth anything near the money Howard was awarded, especially with Jackson waiting in the wings. If he falters this season and ends up demanding more than a Desir-type deal, the Panthers should move on.
