Who suits up for the Carolina Panthers for Week 1 this season?

The Carolina Panthers rookie minicamp was the first on-field activities for many new faces added to the roster this offseason. Draft picks, undrafted free agents, invitees and a few returners all began the journey to winning a position and finding a spot on the 53-man active roster come September.

The Panthers kickoff regular season play against the Los Angeles Rams, who lost last year’s Super Bowl. An immediate litmus test for Carolina, the team is expected to find out immediately what kind of shape their roster is in against a strong Rams team many anticipate will make another run at the playoffs.

After a hot start last season, the Panthers year went spiraling out of control through the second half. A nagging injury to quarterback Cam Newton led to his being shut down completely for the final two games, once the team was essentially eliminated from playoff contention.

Hoping to lead a return to the top of the NFC South division and another trip to the playoffs, general manager Marty Hurney has worked to add an influx of youth and speed to the roster on both sides of the football.

Continue to see current projections for the offense ahead of training camp and preseason games.
