Tight End (3)

Greg Olsen, Chris Manhertz, Ian Thomas

Carolina has taken an in-depth look at the tight end position, adding players left and right to the roster who can help in this area. They knowingly have a set few who are ready to play now, but are in the process of preparing for a future without Greg Olsen.

Last year Ian Thomas played well in Olsen’s absence but without a lot of experience he is still raw in many areas. Despite any deficiencies, he remains the front-runner for a spot on the roster with Chris Manhertz.

A few of the remaining four players currently filling up the roster could play themselves into a practice squad opportunity and eventually contribute should any of the top three sustain an injury.
