Is 2019 the most important season in Carolina Panthers franchise history?

While the Carolina Panthers have enjoyed some very successful seasons – including two trips to the Super Bowl in their relatively brief history – it feels as if this season is setting up to be one of the biggest.

Undoubtedly the most important game is always, “the next one” and while the same can be said of football seasons, a closer examination reveals the importance of 2019 for the Panthers. Coach Ron Rivera is entering his ninth season at the helm, a long stretch in today’s NFL, but two Coach of the Year Awards, three consecutive NFC South championships and one NFC Championship provide a strong resume.
