The Carolina Panthers have a ton of talent on defense

The Carolina Panthers have a bunch of studs on defense. As they look to enter a transitional year on the unit, there should be a nice mix of a veteran and younger players to be had. This is a season that could be very pivotal for Carolina. All of their key players are veterans now, and they should be able to compete with not only the NFC South, but with the rest of the National Football League.

Of course, that is a lot easier said than done. The defense as a unit struggled last year. Now, they look to refocus and regroup, as they have made several additions to help the team. By bringing in guys like  veteran Gerald McCoy, the Panthers have shown that they are ready to make a deep run into the playoffs, and that they are confident in this unit. Defense needs to be the name of the game for Carolina, or else it could be another season like last year. With so many players in a position to win right now, this year is crucial for the defense.

I take a look at the three most important players on the Carolina Panthers defensive unit.
