Greg Little

I know breakout candidates generally mean players who have at least played one season, but given his college resume and the fact that he was selected lower-than-expected in the draft, Greg Little would certainly qualify here. A once-barren Carolina Panthers offensive line looks a little bit better with the addition of Little.

There are some questions about his technique and whether he still needs a little bit of work. The fact of the matter is, you cannot teach of size. Measuring in at six-foot-five, 310 pounds, he is definitely a force to be reckoned with. He will breakout because the Carolina Panthers need someone who can help stabilize the offensive line. He can certainly step in and play right away.

He is a rookie who will be put to the test early. The Carolina Panthers need someone who can fill in the gaps left on the offensive line, and he better be ready to play right away. My guess is that he will be. It may take a couple of weeks into the season to really get a sense of what he is worth to this team. Nevertheless, he still should be able to be a breakout player and make an impact right away.
