Donte Jackson reacts to ‘All or Nothing’ Carolina Panthers series
Carolina Panthers Donte Jackson upset about his portrayal in the ‘All or Nothing’ series.
Fans of the Carolina Panthers were recently given a special treat from the folks at Amazon Prime Video, who featured the NFL team as their fourth to be covered for an entire season. After previously documenting the Arizona Cardinals, Los Angeles Rams and Dallas Cowboys – cameras found their way to Charlotte for an eventful 2018 season.
Fresh off another playoff appearance, the Panthers fourth in six seasons, expectations were high and despite a change in ownership many believed Carolina would contend last year. After winning six of their first eight games everything seemed to be falling into place with the Panthers controlling their own destiny down the stretch. Unfortunately, quarterback Cam Newton was injured and although he isn’t solely to blame, the lack of production from an offensive standpoint coupled with a disappearing pass rush led to seven consecutive losses.
It is during this stretch where we find then rookie Donte Jackson being portrayed in a negative way through the series. He recently took to social media in an effort to both announce his displeasure with the footage and make the claim that he, “wasn’t the only guy in that building tired of losing!”

Jackson started all 16 games for Carolina as a rookie opposite cornerback James Bradberry, making an early impact with a sack and four interceptions through the first eight games. However, he failed to add onto either category during the entire second half as the Panthers won only their final game – played mostly by reserves and backups.
Some have come to the defense of Jackson, including former The Charlotte Observer correspondent and new contributor to The Athletic, Jourdan Rodrigue. Her point in needing a storyline and drama makes sense given the fact that while hardcore fans may appreciate getting to watch all of the behind the scenes footage – average viewers still want to be entertained.
Jackson is expected to maintain his position and role for the upcoming season, hopefully using some of this negativity as fuel for continuing to make an impact on defense for the Panthers.
