If the Carolina Panthers are successful in these categories during 2019, watch out.

On the doorstep of the 2019 NFL season, every team is preparing for their run to the Lombardi Trophy and Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Carolina Panthers included. Their journey began months ago as general manager Marty Hurney began reconstructing a roster that endured a significant amount of turnover due to free agent departures and retirements.

After a disappointing campaign last year marred by injuries and a stagnant defensive front, Carolina has made efforts to improve in both areas. While the preceding is hard to combat, quarterback Cam Newton has worked extremely hard to return healthy by the start of regular season play and tweaked his mechanics to potentially avoid any further issues.

Coach Ron Rivera continues his tenure with the Panthers in search of a fifth trip to the playoffs, second attempt at winning the Super Bowl and potentially the first championship in franchise history. Accomplishing this feat would cement his place in Carolina history but anything short of a playoff appearance could see his time in the Queen City come to an end.

Continue to see where the Panthers need to find success in 2019 in order to avoid the latter.
