Brian Burns

The Panthers picked Brian Burns with the 16th overall pick for a reason. He can get to the passer, he can bulrush the offensive lineman, and he can make plays in a short amount of time. He did all that on Thursday night, and he showed that he just may be exactly what the Carolina Panthers are looking for as their pass rusher of the future.

Burns was able to get into the backfield quickly with tremendous speed and determination. He recorded two sacks, with a total of 14 yards lost. In addition, he recorded two tackles, both of which came for a loss. Although those numbers may not seem I-opening, the fact that both of his titles were for a loss, and the fact that he had two sacks shows he has the  ability to get to the quarterback. That is exactly what the Carolina Panthers signed up for with him, and they certainly got it on Thursday.

The Buffalo Bills should be worried about him next Friday. He is definitely a disruptor. He is someone that quarterbacks should be afraid of, and a player that the coaches will definitely have to plan against.
