Make the Buffalo quarterbacks uncomfortable in the pocket

The Carolina Panthers need to make sure they make the quarterbacks uncomfortable on Friday. Buffalo had decent success through the air against the Colts last week, and that cannot continue again.

Take Matt Barkley’s statistics for instance. He was very efficient, going nine-of-14 through the air. Throwing for 126 yards, he certainly made the most of his playing time. If there is one thing to note, is that the Buffalo Bills did not throw any touchdowns. This could be something of note for Friday, as the Panthers should have the defense to limit their red zone opportunities.

Josh Allen  and Tyree Jackson also played in Buffalo’s last game against the Indianapolis Colts. Allen went six-of-11, throwing for 66 yards, Jackson went two-of-10, throwing for 45 yards. Those aren’t exactly amazing numbers, but they do show that the Bills quarterback unit  has talent.

The Panthers did a nice job in last Thursday’s game of making the Bears uncomfortable. Now, they will have to do the same for the Buffalo quarterbacks. If they can, it should be another long game for a Carolina opponent.
