The Carolina Panthers are practicing inside their new facility today.

Carolina Panthers owner David Tepper knew his team was at a disadvantage and just one season later he’s already corrected the issue. The weather in Charlotte, North Carolina is typically pretty good without extreme cold or too much rainfall but whenever the outside conditions aren’t conducive to practicing football, the Panthers now have an alternative.

Forced to use a convention center/hotel lobby in the past, Tepper had a practice bubble constructed over one of the practice fields just outside Bank of America Stadium. Construction began back in March and is now complete so the Panthers can still get their work in regardless of the weather conditions throughout the 2019 season.

The Queen City forecast today is for a high of 94 degrees and low of 72 – mostly sunny and a slight chance of afternoon thunderstorms. Carolina is practicing this morning, so the temperature is rising but not yet into the 80’s although it doesn’t matter – coach Ron Rivera is taking advantage of the new indoor facility.

Tepper has even more plans already in the works regarding a team facility located in Rock Hill, South Carolina. This complex will house all of the Panthers practice areas, meeting rooms, medical center, coaches offices and more but Tepper refused to allow his team to be at a disadvantage any longer.

Now that Carolina has an indoor facility at their disposal, the team can get quality practices in on a full size field regardless of the weather conditions. In addition, the Panthers can also help to simulate some of the indoor environments in which they play – particularly across the NFC South as both Atlanta and New Orleans play their home games indoors.

The fact this is only a temporary, but much needed solution, displays just how committed Tepper is about doing everything he can to bring a Super Bowl championship to Carolina.
