Preseason game number three generally features the starting units more so than any of the other preliminary contests. For the Carolina Panthers, this means quarterback Cam Newton will see his first live action since Week 15 last season and he’s expected to be surrounded by many familiar faces.

If the New England Patriots decide to do the same, then fans should get a good look at a revamped defense against one of the best in the game. Tom Brady has also been standing on the sidelines through two games but may suit up against Carolina tonight and being, historically, one of the most well protected quarterbacks in the game should provide a good first test for a new set of pass rushers.
