Cornerback Kevon Seymour appeared in all 16 games for Carolina during the 2017 season after being traded to the Panthers from Buffalo for wide receiver Kaelin Clay. A shoulder injury forced the former sixth-round pick to miss all of last season but he returned with high hopes to training camp this year.

Unfortunately, injuries again limited Seymour as he was slowed this time by a hamstring issue. Hoping to receive medical clearance in time for Thursday night’s game, he could see plenty of time on the field if eligible.

Most coaches are aware of what Seymour can offer the team so he may not need to play in order to secure his position, but if another cornerback candidate performs well, he could be left off entirely.
