After an eventful offseason, the Carolina Panthers are set to kick off the 2019 season against defending NFC Champion, the Los Angeles Rams. Returning a majority of their roster from a year ago, this matchup is expected to provide fans with a good testament to just how successful (or not) each team may be this season.

For Carolina, a new defensive scheme and re-organized receiving corps leave unanswered questions about the strength of their roster. As the game transpires, getting quarterback Cam Newton into a rhythm will be key to help fans forget about any lingering shoulder or ankle issues. His ability to make an impact on the offense could go a long way in determining who wins this ballgame.

The Rams lost only four games throughout 2018 and three of those were on the road. Hopefully, the Panthers can utilize home-field and earn a victory to start the season.
