Defense

Defensive Line: A+
Linebackers: A
Defensive Backs: A-

Star plays and impressive performances could be found throughout the defense. From up front, linebackers and those in the secondary, each unit did their best to contain a potent Cardinals offense and came away pleased.

Cornerback Donte Jackson had two interceptions but may have been overshadowed by the shear amount of pressure generated throughout the game. Up front and off the edge, Carolina successfully put Murray into bad situations creating eight sacks. Mario Addison had three and rookie Christian Miller got the first two of his NFL career.

Linebacker Shaq Thompson also had a sack while leading the team with 11 tackles to just barely outpace Luke Kuechly (10). Ten points were scored off turnovers as the defense and offense worked harmoniously together.
