Carolina Panthers Hall of Honor candidates for the future
What former and current Carolina Panthers will be inducted into the Hall of Honor next?
The Carolina Panthers are celebrating 25 years as a professional football team this season. As a part of the festivities, David Tepper, in his second year as owner decided to expand the current Hall of Honor. After only three honorees in nearly a quarter-century, the 2019 class includes four new members.
A special induction ceremony is scheduled for halftime this Sunday where some of the best to ever wear the Panthers uniform are scheduled to appear. The newest class includes wide receiver Steve Smith, quarterback Jake Delhomme, offensive lineman Jordan Gross and tight end Wesley Walls.
These gentlemen join the three already enshrined – Mike McCormack (Inaugural Team President and General Manager), Sam Mills (legendary linebacker and coach) and each of the team’s PSL owners who were inducted collectively as a sign of appreciation from the organization in 2004 – the last entrant until this season.
Long overdue for an expansion, each of the following are likely candidates to be entered into the Panthers Hall of Honor in the future.
