Defensive Line: A
Linebackers: A+
Defensive Backs: B+

The Panthers benefited significantly from a defensive touchdown as the pass rush continues to dominate. While the unit only reached Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew for two official sacks, they did force him to fumble three times, recovering each.

Cornerback Ross Cockrell was tested early and often after giving up a 37-yard touchdown to D.J. Chark Jr. but he rallied and played well throughout the remainder of the game. Filling in for Donte Jackson, it will be interesting to see if he returns this week or sits out until following the bye.

Linebacker Luke Kuechly had an opportunity for an interception but unselfishly decided to bat the ball down and seal the victory after Jacksonville was pressing late for a tying score. Collectively, this group is playing at an extremely high level and can hopefully maintain their momentum throughout the remaining schedule.
