Multiple Carolina Panthers make history in win over Jacksonville Jaguars
Kyle Allen – Consecutive Interception Free Wins to Start A Career
Backup quarterback Kyle Allen has been filling in for an injured Cam Newton since Week 3 and has yet to lose a ball game. Dating back to his Week 17 start last season in New Orleans, the second-year Panther now has four consecutive career wins without tossing an interception.

On the verge of history prior to Sunday, Allen nearly lost his chance with a late pass down the sideline intended for Curtis Samuel. Instead it was reeled in by Jaguars cornerback Tre Herndon but replay review showed the ball hitting the ground.
The first Super Bowl era quarterback to begin his career in such a manner, Allen passed Eagles signal caller Carson Wentz, who lost his fourth game and threw an interception in the process. Patrick Mahomes (Kansas City) is the winningest career starter, notching six straight victories before a loss.
If Allen is going to catch him, he’ll need wins against the Buccaneers and 49ers to tie and another versus the Titans for a new record. Four weeks away, including the bye, expectations are Newton returns prior.
Either way, the Panthers have proven they can win ball games despite injuries to some of their key contributors – a testament to the strength of this roster.
