Keep Feeding Christian McCaffrey

In the Week 2 matchup, McCaffrey had a total of just 18 touches for 53-yards. This was by far the worst game for the Panthers running back this season. It was capped off with the memorable fourth-down play where McCaffrey was denied the first down that could have given Carolina an opportunity to win the game.

A lot of credit should be given to the Buccaneers defense for shutting down McCaffrey in that game. Tamba Bay currently ranks second in the league in rushing yards allowed.

Still, McCaffrey was misused in that matchup and offensive play-caller Norv Turner would be the first to admit it.

Since then, McCaffrey has rushed for 422 yards in the last three games; all resulting in Panther wins.

The Panthers offense is at its best when McCaffrey is the focal point. If Carolina hopes to get even with the Buccaneers, then they will have to give the playmaker a heavy dose of touches.

As mentioned before, the Buccaneers have one of the best run defenses in the league thus far so expect McCaffrey to be used in other ways throughout the game especially catching the ball out of the backfield.
