Christian McCaffrey

This guy has done it all. Christian McCaffrey is keeping the Carolina Panthers offense afloat. He is quite literally carrying the team on his back. After functioning in a similar role last season, I was hoping he wouldn’t have to do the same in 2019. Yet, here we are.

McCaffrey has rushed the ball for 618 total yards. Consider that the entire team has a total of 777 yards. McCaffrey also has 305 receiving yards. He has rushed for at least 100 yards in three games. That includes a 176-yard performance against Jacksonville. The guy can do it all. There is no doubt that he is the first half MVP for this Carolina Panthers team.

I don’t know how he does it. He is a true workhorse. The Panthers have undoubtedly leaned on him for their offense, and he has delivered. For that reason, I wouldn’t be surprised if he burned out in the second half. I wouldn’t fault him at all. He has been the glue that has held the offense together. For as good a job as Kyle Allen has done, McCaffrey has performed even better. For that reason, I think he should undoubtedly be in the MVP conversation.
