Week 7 games to watch with the Carolina Panthers on a bye.

The Carolina Panthers rebounded off the mat after an 0-2 start with four consecutive victories heading into their bye week. Piecing together a competitive roster through injuries has been a testament to the depth general manager Marty Hurney acquired during the offseason, in addition to solid play from a revamped defense.

Backup quarterback Kyle Allen has filled in admirably for Cam Newton after the former league MVP was sidelined with a Lisfranc foot injury. Continuing to heal, all immediate signs point to Allen remaining in place until coach Ron Rivera decides otherwise. While no one knows when exactly that will be, Newton did appear at practice prior to the team’s trip overseas but he hasn’t yet participated in any capacity.

Currently in second place among the NFC South division, Carolina has two games a piece remaining with both the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints. The currently undefeated San Francisco 49ers await Carolina opposite the bye week in what figures to be a true test for Allen and the Panthers.

Continue to see which Week 7 games you should watch while the Panthers enjoy their bye.
