Carolina Panthers: Kyle Allen will face challenge against 49ers line
As the Carolina Panthers go up against a stout defensive line, Kyle Allen will have to be ready.
As the Carolina Panthers get set to take on the San Francisco 49ers, one thing will be certain: both teams will try their best to get after the quarterbacks. What that means for Kyle Allen is that he better be alert and ready.
San Francisco has a dominant pass rush. They have recorded 20 sacks and have allowed just 10.7 points per game. With players like Dee Ford, DeForest Buckner, and Nick Bosa, the 49ers have a lot of ways they can beat you. Furthermore, the secondary feeds off the play of the line as well. We saw it with the Carolina Panthers defense of 2015. The secondary was so successful because the defensive line played so well.

The defensive line of San Francisco will undoubtedly present a challenge to Kyle Allen. He is going to have to play it safe in my estimation. What that means is, quick passing, being certain on his reads, and maybe even showing a little bit of mobility in the pocket. He is undoubtedly going to have to scramble a bit, if nothing else to give himself time to throw. The San Francisco 49ers defensive line is not afraid to get after the quarterback. What I can remember most at the moment is San Francisco’s Monday night game against the Cleveland Browns a couple weeks ago. They kept going after Baker Mayfield without hesitation and with a purpose.
The offensive line for the Carolina Panthers will undoubtedly have a challenge ahead of them. If I was Norv Turner, I would definitely consider a lot of screen passes and quick dump off plays. Getting the ball out quickly will be crucial. I would expect the 49ers to record at least three sacks on Saturday. The veteran talent that they have on that side of the football is impressive. That’s nothing against the Carolina Panthers line either. The 49ers have one of the best lines in football.
If Allen can beat the San Francisco 49ers, that would definitely be an impressive feat. In my mind, he has yet to record a signature win. Beating San Francisco would certainly fall under that category. This will be a big test for everyone involved. This addition of the Carolina Panthers are undoubtedly up for it. They have proven that they are not afraid to rise in the face of adversity.
