On a windy afternoon, kicker Joey Slye nailed his lone field goal attempt from 41 yards out and punter Michael Palardy continued to shine on special teams.

After releasing Ray-Ray McCloud, the Panthers called on Brandon Zylstra for punt return duties and he immediately bobbled the first fair catch but luckily recovered.

Seemingly always in search of a legitimate return man, Carolina turned to multiple options on kickoff as the search for a primary individual continues. Reggie Bonnafon, DeAndrew White and Zylstra all received opportunities as the 49ers continually piled up points all afternoon.
