Question 1: Can Kyle Allen bounce back?

Panthers’ quarterback Kyle Allen had a lot of firsts against the 49ers last week. None of them good. He threw his first interception and suffered his first loss as a starter in the NFL.

He had by far the worst performance of his young career throwing for under 200 yards and three interceptions.

Not all the blame can be placed on Mr. Allen, however. The 49ers defense is nothing short of elite. They sacked the Panthers’ quarterback seven times and it seemed like much more than that because of the constant pressure on every dropback.

Allen obviously did not play well but this was his first bad game so it is not the end of the world.

The question becomes whether or not the young quarterback can put Week 8 behind him and move on to the game against Tennessee.

Young QB’s often have a tough time by letting one bad performance bleed over to affect more than just one game. If Allen can have a short memory and put the Week 8 game in the review mirror, then the Panthers will have a good shot at beating the Titans at home.
