The dynamic duo stepped up

The dynamic duo is alive and well. Wide receivers DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel put on a show once again and paced the Carolina wideouts. Moore was the leading receiver for the game, finishing with seven catches for 101 yards. Averaging 14.4 yards per catch, a 32-yard grab was his longest of the afternoon.

Moore had 10 targets on the day as well, which shows that he was able to make the most of his opportunities. Often times this season, he has struggled in getting the football. I know that’s not his fault, but it certainly hasn’t made for a good -looking stat sheet. Sunday, he was utilized plenty, and that certainly helped the Carolina Panthers secure the victory.

Curtis Samuel also made the most of his opportunities. He caught three passes for 64 yards and a touchdown. A 32-yard grab was his longest of the day. Getting six targets in total, Samuel proved to be a reliable target. Too often  this season, he has been inconsistent as well. It was nice to see him put together a complete performance on Sunday, and I hope he can build off that.

If these two can continue to have strong games, the Carolina Panthers offense will be a force to be reckoned with. It certainly doesn’t help them that they have a player like Christian McCaffrey getting the job done on the ground. It helps the team, but it takes away some of their targets as well. Nevertheless, they have seemed content to do whatever it takes to help the Carolina Panthers win. They certainly did that on Sunday.
