Christian McCaffrey is still the go-to guy

Christian McCaffrey is still that dude. He has had monster numbers throughout the course of the season, and that did not change on Sunday. He continued to show that he is in fact the centerpiece of this offense. As long as he keeps running hard, the Carolina Panthers will always have a chance to win a football game.

On the day, he recorded 24 carries for 146 yards and two touchdowns. Averaging 6.1 yards per carry, a 58-yard dash was his longest of the afternoon. He continues to show that he can take over a game, and he certainly did so against the Titans on Sunday. He ran smoothly, he ran with purpose, and he continued to show why he is such a valuable piece of the offense. I thought his cuts were smooth, and his decision-making was excellent.

Carolina will need him to continue to have these types of games if they want to contend down the stretch. I wonder when fatigue will set in. So far, it has not appeared to affect McCaffrey. However, human nature would indicate that with this heavy workload, he will feel it catch up to him at some point. As long as he continues running hard, Carolina should be in the thick of the playoff race.
