Question 1: Can Kyle Allen hang with Aaron Rodgers?

Panthers quarterback Kyle Allen enters the matchup with the playoff hopes of the team on his shoulders for the rest of the year. Throughout the season, Allen has played each game not knowing if it would be his last game as the starter.

Since Newton has been placed on IR, Allen no longer has to worry about losing the starting job. Now he just has to worry about whether or not he can put up enough points to edge one of the best quarterbacks in the league, Aaron Rodgers.

As aforementioned, Rodgers is coming off his worst game of the year. The Panthers cannot count on back-to-back bad games by the Packers’ offense.

Rodgers has had yet another fantastic season thus far, throwing for 17 touchdowns and just two interceptions through nine games. He is in the MVP conversation.

No matter how well the Panthers defense plays on Sunday they can not be expected to completely shut down Rodgers and the Packers offense.

This puts the pressure on Allen to be able to match the production and points that Green Bay puts up. Luckily for Allen, he has his own MVP candidate on his side in McCaffrey.
