The Carolina Panthers head back home to Charlotte to take on the Atlanta Falcons in a Week 11 matchup. The Panthers look to improve their record to 6-4 against a division rival.

The Panthers host the Falcons for the first of two meetings on the year. They will square off again in Atlanta in Week 14. Last season Atlanta beat Carolina both times the teams met.

The Panthers enter the game with a record of 5-4 coming off a close loss in Green Bay to the Packers. Carolina fought hard in snowy Lambeau Field but fell just short due to a goal-line stand that kept them out of the endzone in the game’s final seconds.

Carolina currently sits behind the New Orleans Saints in the NFC South division by two games.

The Falcons come into the game with a surprisingly poor record of 2-7. They are, however, coming off a huge win against the aforementioned division-leading Saints in New Orleans.

Reports have been circling all season that Atlanta’s head coach, Dan Quinn, is on the hot seat so the win came just in time to possibly save his job.

Atlanta currently sits in last place in the NFC South division.

Despite the Falcon’s poor record and slim playoff chances, the team cannot be overlooked. All bets are off in divisional matchups.

The Panthers have been the all-around better team all season, but it will still take a well-played game to beat the pesky Falcons.
