Injuries Are Starting To Pile Up

Greg Van Roten, Moore, Reid, Taylor Moton, Dontari Poe, and Greg Little all got hurt on Sunday. Poe and Van Roten got the worst of it as both are done for the season. Moore was able to tough out his elbow injury, but with the luck the Panthers have been having this year it wouldn’t be surprising to find out that it’s worse than expected. Now that Carolina is dead last in NFC playoff contention and the team enters the last quarter fairly beleaguered, it would only make sense to see some other people get more opportunities.

This wouldn’t necessarily be raising a white flag for the season because there are some untold stories that deserve a chance to shine in the wake of injury and loss. Dennis Daley turned out to be a gem of a player when Greg Little was hurt. Reggie Bonnafon already made a splash at running back and maybe he can do it a couple more times before the season is over. Who’s to say wide receiver, Brandon Zylstra, or linebacker, Jordan Kunaszyk, can’t make a few memorable moments of their own. The Panthers know who they can rely on now, so it’s time for Mr. Rajack to compile some data so the Panthers have an idea of who they can rely on later.

We’ll get a glimpse of just how much favoritism the coaches display during these last few weeks.
