Two Carolina Panthers additions could make an impact.

Two offseasons ago the Panthers made some serious additions to their offense roster in a sort of “rebuild”. Last offseason the Panthers were a little more keen on making defensive changes. This offseason the Panthers may be looking for a balance of both offensive and defensive additions as they look to improve their run defense, shape up their receiving corps, and find a punt/kick returner. One could even argue that the team needs to “rebuild” again, but when you think about it a “rebuild” isn’t all that necessary.

Quite a few people have already shown that they want to be here and they want to help the team win games. In fact, the Panthers are already in the process of putting together a winning case for next year. They’re trying different people on the field, they’re signing contracts, and they’re making tough decisions.

The process will eventually include the exciting prospect of adding more people to the roster, and the Panthers will probably start with the glaring issues. The run defense will need to be addressed at one point, but seeing as two of the three starting defensive linemen are out for the season it’s safe to assume the Panthers want to give the trio another shot. However, given the underwhelming performance of the wide receiver corps, additions are bound to happen with them, and it’s likely that the Panthers have two ideas in mind for their prospects.
