The nucleus is still there

Oftentimes when a coach is fired, the organization is in a rebuilding phase with not a ton of talent. That is not the case for the Carolina Panthers. They have many top the players on both sides of the football that can make an impact.

Speaking from an offensive standpoint, running back Christian McCaffrey and wideouts DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel certainly fit the bill. Defensively, Brian Burns, Mario Addison, Eric Reid, Donte Jackson, and Luke Kuechly are just some of the names look forward to. Who knows, Cam Newton might be back next year as well, although that is purely speculation. Whatever the case may be this team has the talent to win right now. see a conference championship game sooner rather than later.

I’m excited to see the steps that several of these players take next year. For instance, DJ Moore had a fantastic year. He caught 87 passes for 1,175 yards and four touchdowns. A 126-yard game against New Orleans on November 24 was his breakout game of the season. Will he be able to improve on those numbers next year? That would certainly be exciting, and many of these players are in the primes of their careers. I’m excited to see if the players mentioned above can either take the next step or improve in 2020.
