A monstrous McCaffrey

There is also this guy. What more is there to be said about him? In his third year with a losing team he’s made a case for league MVP and Canton. He stepped up as a leader for the team at a time where leadership was desperately needed. It’s great to see things like that, especially when there is a real possibility that the Panthers could be losing another cornerstone of leadership.

There is a very real chance that the Carolina Panthers could threaten to take command of the NFC South again if they can find a running back complement for McCaffrey. It’s cool to see him breaking records, but the longevity of his career and the team’s success will depend largely on an evenly-distributed running back workload.

Reggie Bonnafon showed off his wheels once during the regular season and was never heard from again so maybe the staff can find a way to work him in more. Then there’s the idea of having a “downhill” running back in Mike Davis or Jordan Scarlett which would be nice to have during those fourth-and-goal plays.
